GAPSI currently provides administrative support to the international criminal division within the Department of Justice, to include reviewing criminal cases, processing requests for assistance in criminal matters, and referring cases to other US government agencies as needed. In addition, employees provide records management support to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Records Management Division, assisting with a major records relocation and consolidation project. These services include maintaining FBI records in accordance with security procedure, maintenance regulations and guidelines, disposition and classification of records, and ensuring authorized FBI personnel have access to the records in a timely manner.
