NIH Awards Four Spots on Potential $3.6B Scientific, Operations and Administrative Resources (SOAR) IDIQ

SOAR Press Release

The National Institutes of Health has awarded four companies spots on a potential five-year, $3.6 billion contract to support in-progress and new research projects, program implementation and other activities in support of the mission of the NIH’s biomedical research program. A fifth company was provided a spot on the contract after a protest.

GAP Solutions will leverage it’s fifteen years of customer support across multiple NIH mission centers to provide additional services, support, and personnel over the next five years. This will expand the Health & Scientific Portfolio to four major contracts and represents another significant prime contract vehicle and the largest opportunity in company history with the potential to compete for over 2000 positions.

The vendors will provide support services across several task areas under the SOAR program: clinical, basic and translational research support; professional administrative support to research efforts involving human, non-human and non-living subjects; and facility operations, maintenance, engineering and architecture support.

Support services may include providing assistance during experiments, organizing data and writing reports, offering scientific information technology services, supporting communication efforts related to research work and furnishing logistical or operational support.

Work will primarily occur in the Rockville-Bethesda, Maryland area. Place of performance may include other locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
